 The Science Academy of South Texas offers a curriculum of choice with an emphasis on Science, Mathematics and Engineering that fosters curiosity, open mindedness and a passion for life-long learning.

 The Science Academy of South Texas (Sci Tech) opened in August 1989. It offers a nationally recognized academic program focusing on the math and science career fields, such as architecture, engineering and computer science. The school is in partnership with Project Lead the Way, Inc., a national pre-engineering program in which students can receive college credit beginning their freshman year. Seniors research a real-world problem and develop a solution.

The Science Academy is a TEA Exemplary campus and a nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School.

 Partnerships with Rice University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, South Texas College, Johns Hopkins University, Cornell University, Stanford University
